Last night I dragged myself down to the pub, to congratulate a friend who recently got into a prestigious music program in Norway and will be moving to Oslo in the coming months. I hacked my way through most of the conversation, and by the end of the night she insisted that I stop by hers (she lives down the street) for cough medicine and herbal tea. Which I did. I then promptly took some of said cough medicine, and went to bed.
The label on the bottle says that it's for "tickly coughs". I take issue with this. A "tickly" cough sounds like fun. A "tickly" cough is something that might give one the giggles.
MY cough, on the other hand, makes me sound like a 75 year old woman. There's nothing "ticklish" about it.
However -- the good news is that if I survive this blasted cold, I'll have abs of TITANIUM by the time it's over.

Ugh. I hate being sick enough to feel like crud, and yet at the same time being able enough to do things, so that you feel guilty about taking time off ... oh well. Here's to a better day tomorrow.

Another day home from work! Man, this cough is just not disappearing.
Anyway, I took advantage of non-work time and put in some novel-time instead.
(That's cranberry juice in that glass, by the way. No red wine for Ms. Amanda.)

Still sick. And it was a gorgeous day today, so I took the camera out onto the roof and tried to play around with the lighting. I'm so used to shots indoors now that shooting in full daylight is strange. I have a few more flattering shots (at least, I think they are), but this one made me laugh. And so, into the 365 it goes!
